What's New: February 23rd, 2009
One day late... but still there to post about our last update. That update is pretty cool and is mainly focused on our animation studio. With no further due...
Performance
The first change that we hope will make a big difference is regarding performance. We have made changes that should make our animation studio much faster to load. We have also broken down the loading of characters and other assets so that each time the loading is shorter. Can you see the difference?
Multi-state props
This feature has been requested on the forum quite a few times and it is now out. Props on GoAnimate can now have multiple states. We will roll this feature out step-by-step, and there are already quite a few props you can find on the platform today that have multiple-states.
Try our Star Trek theme and drag the spaceships on stage. You can now select whether they should be still or firing without having to drag a new prop anymore. Same for the hand phasers. We also rolled out the feature on our lift background in the Cartoon Classics theme. Check out that new lift door we have for you!
Outlined on mouse over
As our backgrounds get more and more complex, and as you guys drag more and more things on stage it is sometimes difficult to see which object you are selecting. Well... NO MORE! Now, as you mouse over objects on stage, they get highlighted using an outline. Neat, no?!
New screen after saving
Finally, we have also created a new screen after you save your movie as public or private shared. On that screen we are experimenting with a feed of all your idols' movies for you to keep track of their creations. Let us know what you think of that screen and we will use similar designs in other places on the website.
terrific news, and i put this on digg.com for you!
