New Full-Screen Studio Unleashed
We promised it when we launched Plus accounts and here it is. Our full-screen studio is now out and ready to help you create even cooler animations.
We have lots of feedback already regarding the new features and the new design style. Here's some more insights:
What's the big deal with being full-screen?
Full-screen means that when you launch the studio, it will resize to fit your browser window. So hit that maximize browser window button if you haven't already! With a big screen you will be able to do your animating much more comfortably. You will have much wider margins around your stage to place your objects and characters. If you don't have a big screen, well... huh... read on!
Zooming function
With the full-screen studio you are now able to zoom in and out of the stage. This allows you to zoom closer to smaller props and make sure things are looking exactly right. And if you zoom out from the stage, you can enjoy wide margins even if you have a smaller screen. You can also pan around the stage using arrows (soon to be improved).
Quality level
Performance has been a big focus on our side in the recent month. We have released lots of improvements that are hidden under the hood. With this new option you have more control and can choose between better performance and better image quality.
When you load the studio, you may notice that graphics don't look as nice. This is done so that the studio performs nicely for users with slower computers. You have an option (see below) to control this graphics quality and reduce it further or boost it more if you have a powerful computer. And no worries. In the player, the graphics quality is still set to high, so your animation will look as cool as ever.
Look & feel
We finally made a U-turn in terms of our studio look & feel. We switched from bright orange to a very dark theme. We did this to ensure that the studio interface did not compete with the actual contents of your animations. The idea is that the interface should easily fade away, while you can focus on your work. We hope this current design does a better job at this than the last. Based on your feedback we will definitely tweak it more to further enhance the experience.
That's about it for this update... we will now go back to the other updates we have promised earlier and some new ones that popped in between. As a refresher, these include voice recording within the studio, action packs, achievements, animation sorting, etc.

These changes are great.
I mostly like the zoom in feature thing.
I have a small net book, so this really helps me out.
Everything else is pretty solid as well.
I like these changes but I have saw other comments of people hating them.
I think this is great, but what would really add to the studio is a text box that you could write a script in so your script is there every time you go to the studio, and you can work on the script or work on your animation based off your script. Or for those who don't want a full script before there animation, they can just write a reminder of, say, how they want the sudio to end. I think this feature would be very useful.
This next feature is similar to the above but for when you only want to work on your script and not get distracted by the animation or have the flash-based tools lag your computer. On your userpage, in the list of your animation, next to the Edit Animation button, there would be an Edit Script option in which your script would open up in full size and this would be the main place to work on your script.
I think these two features would definitely add to GoAnimate on a whole.

@anonymous (one of them at least): The full screen studio is a free feature. Everyone has access to it. As we promised, we are releasing more features for all users and not focusing on Plus users.
@Panda Boy: That's an interesting suggestion. Maybe we should start a discussion on that. Are many users writing scripts before animating?
Hey Nic. I write my scripts before animating. Sometimes I write the scripts directly on the video, but then for recording I have to go frame by frame to write out the script to record. It would be great to have this as a feature... it would make it a lot quicker for recording the voices.
The studio looks great btw. I've used it on my 24" and it is wonderful! Lots of room to work in the stage!
